Gibson Style 4 ‘Mastertone’ conversion, c.1925, natural mahogany, original Gibson TB-4 rim with ‘ball bearing’ archtop tonering & vented side skirt, 2 pce flange, nickel pltd hardware, 4 string Presto tpce converted to 5 string, original bound resonator with inlaid concentric rings, superb conversion 5 string mahogany neck (c.1990s) by celebrated UK luthier Adrian Farmer (original TB neck not available), bound rosewood fbd with pearl ‘hearts & flowers’ inlays, ebonised phd overlay with ‘Gibson’ & ‘Mastertone’ pearl logos, rare first year production (style 4 changed to walnut/chrome in 1929) with some playwear but no cracks or repairs, strong ‘archtop’ tone & projection, VGC, hard case.
