C.1920s, open back, 19 fret, 20¾” short scale, 10¾” rosewood rim with fancy marquetry banding, patent archtop tonering, rosewood neck with multiple coloured laminations, beautifully carved heel, dazzling solid mother of pearl fbd with fancy abalone floral inlays, ebony phd overlay/backstrap/heel cap with fancy pearl & abalone inlays, nickel plated hardware. Page geared tuners (1 replaced), likely a custom order (can’t find another example with this fbd spec) from Rettberg & Lange who also made Paramounts. Nice player for Celtic & jazz stylings (short scale but 19 frets) with powerful projection & rich tone, VGC, period HC.
