amber brown lacquer, highly figured back/sides/neck, 15 1/2” back (395mm), 1 small repaired crack in top, from the American factory of the famed makers of fretted instruments (violin family only made 1939-45 with violas particularly rare), big warm tone and ideal for the violin player wishing to extend their range due to it's smaller size compared to many modern violas, original Lifton hard case, EC

VGC  (Very Good Condition) = basically all original, may have minor repairs/refinish but no other issues unless noted, moderate playwear

GC (Good Condition) = generally sound, possibly some repairs/refinish, may need work as noted, moderate to heavy playwear

PC (Poor Condition) =  Issues and work required as noted
