A two page chart lists 113 addtional vintage banjos from the previous book and there are more in the later sections. Over 670 beautiful banjos in all. c.1984 (new unopened condition), special edition in hard box with supplement (in Japanese!), first of these famed publications with sections on Jazz Age, classic Victorian era, banjo ukes and all sorts of ephemera, catalogues, patents etc. Full colour photographs of his collection at that time, including Gibson, Paramount, Vega, S. S. Stewart and many more. Also included are the collections of James Bollman (early Boston banjo makers) and Reuben Reubens (minstrel era banjos).

This limited edition book includes chapters on D'Angelico, D'Aquisto, Gibson, Epiphone, Gretsch, Stromberg and a multitude of other makers such as Martin, Guild, Koontz and Fender. There are also sections on lap steels, ukuleles, and separate serial number listing on D'Angelico and D'Aquisto production totals. A rare and beautiful book that is a must for every guitar library.
